Years ago I had a friend who had contracted genital herpes at age 18. Most people that contract this disease have a few initially bad outbreaks and then it kind of goes into a sort of remission like state, and only breaks out sometimes when the individual is stressed or sick ( when immune defences are down in some way) in time usually it may break out once in a blue moon or for the most part go away as the individual builds up an immunity to it, and the body gets used to this foreign invader. For whatever the reason this friend had a horrible time with this disease and had extremely bad outbreaks that lasted for weeks at a time, and then would only go away once in a while for a couple of days at a time before breaking out again and again and again. His insomnia increased again ( did I mention he was also an insomniac?) also he began to experience night sweats and heart palpitations when he did sleep. He also developed painless dry weird red patches all over his groin and genitals area. ( he called them phantom patches) This remedy also brought out anxiety. For those of you who don't know homeopathic remedies make you feel worse before you feel better, it is known as an aggravation of symptoms and may be an indication that the remedy that has been selected is probably working its magic. His allergies improved alot , he had always had terrible allergies in his life. His insomnia pretty much went away and he was sleeping much better through the night. His energy level greatly improved, and a weird side effect of the aurum mettalicum was that he became a workaholic. Thats right..... he went from never ever wanting to go to work (or even hardly ever wanting much to leave the house) to wanting to go to work 7 days a week and having the energy to do it!!! He was astounded at this and realized that this homeopathic remedy was having a big effect on the depression that he had been experiencing for the past almost ten years, and even his entire life! ( he had always been somewhat depressed in his earlier years but contracting the herpes had really set it off) About the cold sores. It also had an profound effect on the herpes virus that had invaded his body. His outbreaks ( after a few more really really very nasty ones) gradually decreased in severity and became far less frequent. They went from being their almost all of the time ( spare a few days here and there) to breaking out maybe once every couple of months, and then eventually ( a couple years later) to only breaking out once every six months or so, and even then it only lasted a few days at a time. This method of treatment of homeopathy was vastly superior to any herbal supplement, to any vitamin supplementation program, and also to change in the diet ( by the avoidence of argenine which is thought to induce replication of the herpes virus) and lastly it was vastly superior to the anti-viral drugs that were prescribed by the allopathic physician (regular doctor) the remedy used here was aurum mettallicum at a potency of 30. I am not saying that this remedy will work for anyone who has this virus and is having a hard time with it. The same remedies do not work for everyone, they are usually based on an individuals different symptoms physical and and mental, and also by the patients personality.
